I have a 2007 front-wheel drive V6 Vue. It's equipped with a mirror that has OnStar buttons, a compass display, and shows the outside temperature. Does anyone know where I can find the wiring diagram?

I'm thinking about replacing the mirror with a Gentex model that has a similar compass display and shows the outside temperature but has Homelink buttons that I can program for our garage door(s).

Rather than having to run new wires, I'd prefer to "tap" the existing wire set coming from the outside temperature probe and providing power.

My repair manual covers through 2005 so I really don't know if the 2007 is significantly different.

You can compare wire colors or hold off until something better comes along.

Good luck.

Thanks! That could very well be it. I'll have to compare it my Vue's harness, but it looks promising.

Taking OnStar out of the picture, I think the pin-out is as follows:

Yellow = 12 V
Black = Ground
Light Green = Backup Lamps (when "hot", mirror doesn't dim)
Light Green / Black = Temperature Probe
Gray = Temperature Probe

I found some online wiring diagrams at www.autozone.com........

I took a close look at my Vue's RV mirror wire harness and have confirmed it to be a match with the diagram far2grumpy posted. Thanks far2grumpy!!!

Now I just have to decide whether or not I want to spend what will likely be $225 or more when all I'm doing is eliminating the OnStar controls I have no use for and replacing them with what might just be a very expensive garage door opener. :xeye:
