Ok Ive been researching for quite awhile but cannot find info on this particular car! I cannot find a dip stick and the owners manual dosent show one, Ive been told by a autozone that it may have a cap that hides the fluid fill. Their is a black cap with a big plastic nut on top between the battery box and the motor. Is that it?

The manual also calls for Dex VI FULL SYN and 6.9 QT's. Is that a full flush? Seems like alot for just a drain and fill! My 08 silverado dident use thatmuch....... Any ideas?

6.9 qts is probably the total capacity of the transaxle. When you pull the drain plug, only the fluid in the pan drains out. There will be several more qts hiding in the torque converter and fluid cooler.

But as far as where anything is on the auto, I have no clue. I can look in my factory service manual, but I don't know if it has the geared auto transmission or the CVT auto transmission- I have a manual transmission so I've never cared to look.

Ok I guess I just need to know where the fill is. Is it under that big black cap between the motor and the Battery?

I've attached file for checking Hydra-Matic trans in 05 Vue - my service manual does not cover newer Vue's ... I don't know zip about this transmission but if the illustrations match yours ... could be worth reading.

BTW ... this is really sick ... there is no dipstick ... looks like you must remove a plug from side of trans, with ATF hot and engine running.

What will they think of next?

On the 2006 there is a little orange plastic thing near the firewall on the tranny (climb over the engine and look straight down). Its a plastic cap and contains the transmission fluid stick.

Robert ... are you speaking from experience with the 4 cyl Vue?

I note you have a V-6 and wondering if you might not have noticed OP had the four-banger.
