I'm looking for some advice on where to begin. 2004 Saturn vue V6 with 56k miles setting the following codes.
P0171 - lean bank 1
P0174 - lean bank 2
P0300 - random misfire
P0301 - misfire cylinder 1
P0302 - misfire cylinder 2
P0303 - misfire cylinder 3
P0304 - misfire cylinder 4
P0305 - misfire cylinder 5
P0306 - misfire cylinder 6
What would be the first step to solve this issue? Vacuum leak? fuel pressure problems? Ignition coils or plugs?

Thanks. So based upon the code set process I could then assume the lean condition must have been prevelent prior to the P0300 series. Had the misfires occurred prior to the lean condition the PCM could not have reported the lean condition codes P0171 or P0174. I will try to ID what's causing the lean condition.

I read the same way ... the 0300 series must of came after "lean" codes set. I mess with cars as a hobby but there are some serious mechanics who visit the forum. Perhaps they can give you better ideas.

I had those same set of codes about a month ago on one of mine. I think it was caused by a tank of bad gas. A few cans of injector cleaner and a few tanks of gas later and the codes didn't come back

This is a little bit off topic, far2grumpy. Could you by any chance tell me what kind of Service manual software are you using? I purchased from ebay a Vue service manual that goes up to 2006 model but to find something in it is quite a pain ... There are multiply instances of the same information, but it doesn't have any reference search and sometimes even a word search doesn't work, probably because of the way it was scanned.

could be a bad coil pack?...to be honest im not sure if these things have a coil pack...?....bad ground?.....can you reset them and see if they come back?

Could someone please confirm for me. Is there an exposed Fuel Filter along the fuel line for a 2004 vue v6 2WD?

Nope, I don't think there is a filter in the line. The 02-03 had one by the EVAP canister, but not on the 04.
