So over the weekend I was taking a trip up to Mohegan Sun and was constantly annoyed by a sound of either drizzling rain or pebbles hitting the roof of my Vue. The Vue is an 06 FWD 60k on it. I have no idea what the problem could be, but it is quite possibly the most annoying sound to deal with. No matter the speed; the noise kept on. Only to stop when my car was stopped at a light.

I have also had a sound of what seems to be wind blowing through my front drivers side window when it is completely closed, any idea on what I can do for that?

Thanks in advance.

Do you have a wind deflector/bug thing on the front of the hood?

Could you possibly be hearing road noise? VUE's are not as quiet as a sedan on a noisy road surface.

There was also a TSB about an open spot by the front windshield by the VIN plate where wind can cause some racket.

I know that when I added the bug deflector, that I got alot of wind noise, and like a crackling sound coming from the plastic parts around the windshield that sounds alot like what you are describing. I took the deflector of and it went away, must have been something with the different way the air was moving over the hood. Everyonce in awhile i will hear it when the wind is blowing outside strong.

I get a bunch of noise from my side windows as well. If I press on the window near the upper rear corner, it will go away.

I think you can take off the plastic piece on the door right there and fill up the inside with some silicone or something to keep it nice and tight.

Does it come stock? I haven't added any such deflector and I'm not to sure what I should be looking for here.

Also, to the Window response - I really need to figure out if that silicone fill with solve the problem. The wind blows directly next to my ear the entire drive and is becoming extremely bothersome. It started after I had my front windows tinted....Maybe I can go see if they can re-seal them?

Thanks for all the help guys and I'll update if I fix the problem some how.

Oh! It is aftermarket....then I have no idea at all. Back to square one I guess. Maybe I'll take it over to Saturn I'm still under warranty. Hopefully I don't get the usual "Could not duplicate sound/problem" that I normally get from them.
