Is it me or is it just loud when you hit a puddle in a VUE? It sounds like there is just a thin piece of metal between the wheel well and the floor board.

I know what you mean but I only get the water crashing against the front panel sound on passenger side puddles. Driver side puddles are fairly quiet. I don't really see anything different in the structure between either side so I have no clue as to why my passenter side is louder.

Yeah I've noticed that. When I test drove a VUE it was raining so I've known about it for a while. I just chalk it up to large expanses of plastic causing a resonance chamber. Haven't actually checked to see if the sound is more from the floor board, the wheel well, or through the doors/body. A little Dynamat would probably help alot :)
