Had a small fender bender on ice last week. Damage has been repaired , but the horn doesn't work at the moment. The horn went on with the impact and stayed on for maybe 10 minutes. I am thinking that the horn has burned out, and that maybe a relay or something has an issue. Ideas?

The insurance should be covering it. I think the root problem is why the horn stayed on for all that time.

I paid for the repairs myself. The horn was just overlooked. What makes a horn stick on after an impact?

Use the following link to find typical horn circuit diagram ...

http://www.saturnfans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=133487&highlight=vue+horn

On left side of diagram ... note bottom side of horn is connected to ground and +12 volts is connected to top side through 10 amp fuse when HORN relay is latched.

The horn relay is connected to same fused +12 routed to horn and relay low side can be controlled by: (1) BCM to beep during keyless entry functions and, (2) horn switch in airbag.

You can do a visual check to see if the fuse is kaput and then use a simple continuity tester or substitution method to determine if the horn or horn relay has failed. One or more of the three are most likely defective.

If the horn sounds when any are replaced you can use the diagram to back-track toward BCM or steering wheel to determine which is faulty.

Good luck and keep us informed.
