I'm thinking about smurfing out my doors with some eDead v3. If I do that, I'd want to remove the door skins themselves to put some on them. That way the sound will stay in, and the road noise will stay out. It might even make the doors close a little bit more solidly.

Any idea on how to do that? It looks like they're just held on with a few clips, is it really that easy?

I looked closer and there appear to be 15-20 torx screws. I might try to take it out.

That sound deadening product looks good but I do have one concern and that is how will it react with the panels. There are only certain types of rust proofing products and even oils (lubes) that can be used that won`t soften or break down the polymer compound of the panels. Even the over spray of some lubricants will destroy the panels.

yes remove those torx screws....

you also need to remove the rear views, so take off that plastic where the small dome speaker is to undo that.

After you have the screws out, and mirror removed you need to remove the plastic trim at the rear of the drivers/passengers doors then tbe rubber strip that goes along the top of the panel where it meets the window.

Remove the door handle by the plastic push-pin on the bottom of the handle (took me forever to find this). After the pin is out, pull it out and towards the engine.

When removing that rubber strip pry up starting at the rear and gently work your way to the front.

after that it's basically free, lift up the rear of the panel first.. it will come free easiest. Then you'll need to push forward to free the front clip on the top front of the panel.
