Looking for some support, on removing the front seats out of my 2005 Vue. I will be removing the seats with the slide brackect. I see the bolts in the rear but do not see any bolts in the front.
Also advice on removing the automatic shift panel were the window controls are. I'm going to instaliing heated seats this weekend, and can use all the advise you can give.
Thanks,

I'll email four page extract from 05 Vue service manual pertaining to seat removal ... file size exceeds allowable attachment file size.
You'll note the instructions are abbreviated and obviously prepared for skilled / trained technician (I'm not in that category). They are more of a key item checklist than step-by-step.
I removed the window control panel by using a one inch blade putty knife to detach plastic tab on each side of cover (aft of shift lever). Lift the panel from the rear to disengage two front retaining tabs.
There are no bolts in the front. Just tabs on each side. You unbolt the rear, rock the reat forward and lift up/back to remove them.

far2grumpy: Do you have the factory service manual for the 05 Vue?

I purchased 2002 - 2005 Vue DVD repair manual from E-Bay vendor awhile back. I checked this AM and found 2006 Vue manual available(different seller than I used) for around $120 USD plus shipping.

I'm generally satisfied with content of manual (wiring diagrams are especially useful) but must admit it lacks many of the useful explanations available in Haynes or Chilton products.
I'm not able to provide a copy but have sent you a private message regarding possible alternate source.

Why was a service manual needed? There are two bolts, a seatbelt wire to be unplugged, and the seat lifts out.
