What else to replace with timing belt?

My 2002 3.0 vue is near 100,000 miles, thinking of doing the belt and waterpump myself. Do you usually change out the idler pulleys and tensioner too? And any other parts needed. I just want to have all the parts in hand before I tear it apart.

usually a good idea to get the tensioner rest of the pulleys are rarely a problem

You probably should do the t'stat also.

I already replaced the t-stat last winter when it was not heating up much, and did plugs then too. I see Rock Auto sells a "timing belt component kit" with belt, tensioner,2 idlers and 5 seals. I'll probably just get that kit, along with a water pump.

I to am looking at this task and also purchasing from Rock Auto. I was going to to do the T-belt, S-belt, T-stat, water pump, plugs, and whatever pulleys come with the T-belt kit. If anyone has Service Manual instructions I would love them? I would also like to here how the above installs went. You can email the instruction if they are to big to post to lukematney@yahoo.com. If you register at AutoZone.com, they have 12 pages of instructions you can print out. Probably better than nothing.

Thanks I just did, but do you really need the alinment tools and crankshalf lock?
