I was driving home from a dog show today, stop 30Min. from home to get some gas and the 03 Vue was jerking after I filled up, like in was stuck in gear, I puled over and turn the car off, restarted it and same thing, turned it off again, started it in "L" would not move, changed it to "D" not go. have never added transmission fluid, so put in 2L of pre 06 Gm automatic transmission fluid, no go. had to get a tow home. have been doing some reading and think I might have broke the transmission belt? Need some help. car had 144,000 KM on it.

Well, you've been here long enough to start looking through the Vue threads of VTI transmission problems. First you must confirm whether or not you have the VTI (continuously variable transmission) to continue otherwise ignore the rest of this post.

Having the VTI transmission may just entitle you to compensation as you'll find a class action lawsuit posted here that GM/Saturn has decided to settle by making compensation available to those with VTI failures. Hope this helps.

That's a little over 89k miles... May be close to a record high for this transmission. I hope GM repairs it for free for you since this settlement was announced.

They should make the engineer that approved this transmission for the VUE replace every single one of them for making such a poor decision.

I called 1800GMDRIVE today and inquired about the Vue Transmission Class action law suite, they said they have no record of this and it it's probably because I'm in Canada. If there is any transmission recalls I will here about it in the mail. So am I SOL?
