My 03 Vue V6 has developed a break in the exhaust at the braided section under the oil pan. The first muffler joint i took it to said that the entire pipe assembly from the manifold to that braided section would have to be replaced. That pipe section also includes a large round section that he claimed to be a converter and the parts would be several hundred dollars. I was under the car and got a good look at the braided section and i have to believe that i can get a universal flexible pipe that can be put in place on the broken one. Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated.
