Hi ,

I was just coming home from shopping when my service engine light came on. I am reading trying to find out what regular maintenance schedule is for a 2004 saturn vue AWD 6 cyl with 65000 KM is. Any ideas??
I have read that something as simple as a loose gas cap could illuminate it. I just had it at the shop last week, of course, to repair swaybars...:dizzy:

any advise would be appreciated ;)

There should be a definite possibility of an almost maybe ( :D) that if you can have the SES code(s) retrieved from an auto chain store for free, jot down the code(s) for posting here. It takes less than a minute to do this. With only 36k miles(?)/65k km's I would guess just oil and air filters plus a check on remaining fluids for topping off. The gas cap is one of the easiest to fix but may take several ignition on/off cycles to reset the SES light other than using a scanner/reader or removing the battery NEGATIVE cable for a few seconds to reset the light. In the meantime you can find the list of codes in the How-to library on page 5 titled OBD II Powertrain Codes to become familiar with them.

'problem with sevice engine light'

The only problem you could have with it is failure to illuminate when called for. Always check all indicators when starting the vehicle by observing them in the instrument cluster.

It's my week to be the troll.:D
