I have a 2005 Vue 4 cylinder with standard transmission nearing 50k. The only repair I have had done is replacement of shifter cables. Other than that it has not been in the shop and I change the oil myself every 3k-5k.
Do you recommend any kind of maintenance at 50k?

I just changed the spark plugs on my '04 4 cylinder with a little over 50,000 miles. They were worn enough to warrant replacement. They are "suppose" to be 100,000 mile plugs, but mine were out of spec at half that many miles.
I'm also going to go flushing the radiator soon. Again, that is suppose to be 100,000 mile coolant, but.......
A long time ago I switched my transmission oil to Red Line synthetic. I don't remember exactly which flavor of Red Line I got, but it was the recommended equivalent. I don't think there is a specified interval for that fluid, but I don't really buy into the whole "lifetime" fluid theory.
Other than lubing up hinges and replacing things as they break, you should be good. My lift struts on my lift gate are sluggish when its cool so those might be done soon.

Get ready to have to replace the clutch slave cylinder................
You're about due :cry::cry::cry:
If it was a normal design, it wouldn't be bad, but you have to remove the tranny to get to it. :upset::upset::upset:

Listen to Tom the I just relaced spark plugs @ 88k.......:snide: Way to long. Found some long lost power that I was missing. Used new Autolite XP plugs. Be sure and gap them. Do sythetic fluid in the tranny!! :yes: Great impovement that smooths out you shifter and makes it actually work in the when it is stone cold @ 15*. I need to do my coolant before winter. It now has 91k on it.
I am going to also replace the brake fluid. Not needed just insurance!!
