2003 horn won't stop

On my 2003 VUE, the horn started blowing and won't shut off unless the car is running or key is in run position. When the key is at accessory or turned off, the horn blows constantly. I had to pull the fuse. The remote doesn't work while the horn is blowing either. This all happened while it was being detailed, just after washing the outside of the car, and before cleaning the interior. Of course they had no idea what happened. Saturn says it may be the battery, which seems odd. Any ideas? Thanks

It sounds like a bad horn switch (common problem with the 2002/2003 Vues)The bad news is the switch is part of the air bag unit and is not sold seperately.

You've got 3 options:

1. Shell out $800+ for a new airbag/horn switch assembly that will eventually fail again.
2. Permanently remove the fuse for the horn.
3. If you're mechanically inclined, install your own horn switch(es). Just be careful where you place it/them.
