i recently overheated while in idle. so after some trouble shooting and electrical testing (thanks pops) i discovered the motor for the cooling fan is shot.

Replacing it does not appear to be very DIY friendly considering there appears to be no easy way to remove the unit without having to remove everything north of the engine.

has anyone had this happen to them? DIY or had it replaced? any idea on $$?

by the way this is what i get for bragging about how well its been running just one day earlier!

any help is much appreciated.

Your 100% sure it's the motor and not a fuseible link or something.

yeah, we swapped out the fuses and relays for ones we new were good. and we tested the the thermostat to see if it was signaling the fan to turn on, it was. then we hooked up a powersource to the fan to see if it would run. no luck.
