Anyone got a line on any for a 2006 VUE...

I got the SSBC Rear Conversion kit coming, and i'll be dammed if the BACK of my truck is only stainless steel lines and not the front, haha!

Although not posted on their site, awhile back I called jbody performance about stainless brake lines for my ION, and they said they can custom-make any brake lines for any vehicles, but they need a core to use as a template.

Go to the website or email them, if you're cool with a bit of downtime, you could send them your stock front lines and they can make new stainless lines for you.

Yeah, I was trying to avoid the down time though...

I'm just appalled really that no one makes SS lines for our fronts :/

I got SSBL's with my SSBC brake kit. maybe they're still included?

I didn't get the front kit, just the rear...

I'll call them today and see if they'll just sell me the front lines and see if they're OEM replacements. I doubt it though.

I only got the one set of lines for the back.

If you could find that stock set you have still. Ship it to me, so I can get some stainless ones made from them, and I'll ship them back to ya.

Or just get the measurements, thread pitch, etc. I think they can just make them that way as well.

I'm curious as to the size of the SSBC rear kit, supposedly driving with stronger rear brakes than your fronts is very dangerous. Plus if it's bigger than the stocky fronts, or even the same size as the fronts, it may look retarded. I can't wait to see some pics.

I know of a handful of stock cars that have larger rear discs than the front, and they are pretty legit looking cars if you ask me :D

Tek: What color calipers did you get?

My rear disc brakes on my Protege are .1" larger in diameter than my front discs.

Drastically changing the brake system on any car can be dangerous. But I agree- changing only the rear seems like you could be setting yourself up for some tail chasing if you ever get into a panic braking/manuevering situation. ABS (if you have it) might help.

The rears are only .3" larger in diameter than the fronts.

Our front OEM system is already a two piston setup. The Hawk LTS pads and R1 Concepts rotors I got will grip better than the metallics in the back as well anyway.

I'm going to the Dragon in August again... so I guess we'll find out then. HAHA!

The calipers are getting a translucent cherry red coating by my boy the Monstah!

Beware of the R1 Concepts rotors is all I have to say. I warped a set the first 20 minutes they were on the car while I was bedding my pads in! Make sure your lugs are torqued PERFECT. (This could be why my set was horrible)

Which pads did you have on?

I was thinking about ordering some R1 Concept rotors, they looked pretty nice and they have a combo with pads for $130ish, drilled and slotted as well. Never heard anything bad about them, in fact the Jeep SRT8 guys rave about them.
