Hey there everyone i just have a quick question.

I have an 04 vue and im looking to upgrade the cd player in it. I am just wondering if a cd player from an 06 vue would work in it? I found some on ebay that are going pritty cheap. My vue has nothing special just the single disk no onstar but with the 6 speakers. 4 door speakers and the 2 tweeters.

Thanks for the help in advance!

i don't think that it will, the '06 radio is considerably different than the earlier versions. In fact when i upgraded to an aftermarket nav system in my '06 i needed a $200 GM-LAN cable to keep my Onstar. i think the connections are completely different too. Apparently, in the '06 and newer Saturns the door chimes, Onstar and other stuff works thru the radio. i would personally go for an aftermarket cd player, u can get one without spending an arm and a leg. Me i got the Kenwood DNX7100 nav system, XM tuner, iPod adaptor and Infinity components and coaxials; i do recommend u replace the speakers if u get a new head unit, again u don't have to spend a lot because almost anything's better than stock.

He's correct, the 06 Radios are larger, and will not fit.

You can upgrade to any VUE/ION six disk changer though from your current single disk setup. We just did this in our 04 Vue, with an 05 IOn radio.

Aftermarket would be better, but they dont happpen to have six disk in dash aftermarket changers, wich is what we were looking for. WE picked it up off of a redlineforums member for $40 bucks. I have seen them go on Ebay for 40 to 100 depending on who is selling them.
