The piston rod on my Vue has snapped...I need a new engine. I am going to start by looking for a used one. Does anyone now if the Vue engine is swappable with the L series?

Also, does anyone have step-by-step instructions on how to remove and replace the engine?
Can the engine be pulled out of the top or does it have to be dropped out the bottom?

I hightly recommend http://www.alldatadiy.com/ it's much better than buying a manual.

The L V6 and the VUE V6 may be compatible from the heads down... that I am not sure about.
The main visible differences are:
On the VUE, the intake manifold is die cast magnesium, where it is aluminum on the L with removable runners.
The VUE doesn't have a power steering pump like the L.
I'm not sure the reasoning, but the VUE's 3.0 makes 182 HP, whereas the L's makes 181.... not that 1 HP matters or anything.
