I am about to change the carrier bearing on the driveshaft.

The kit that got from the dealer has a new bearing, and a new U-Joint for the back.

Since this is AWD, what is the easiest way to get the back driveshaft to unlock so you can rotate it to get the clips out of the U-Joint?

I haven't tried anything yet, but figured I would ask before I started.

Thanks!

Why are you changing? Just curious. Symptoms?

This repair would require the removal of the complete driveshaft (~20 minutes). Remove the 4 u joint retaining bolts at the RDM (rear drive module) , the four up front at the power takeoff, the two at the center bearing and I believe two more for a saftey hanger. If you have any bolt access problems the shaft can be rotated with the transmission in neutral with one front and one rear tire off the ground (it can be on the same side)
