Or just leave it be? Boots on the balljoints are pretty saggy, so I'm sure they could use a drink. I'm not seeing a zerk, so I'm thinking stick it with a needle to get some grease in there.
Your thoughts?

A lot of the newer vehicles have sealed things like ball joints and tie rods. Its rediculous to think they make them unserviceable like that but they do. I haven't been able to find a needle point fitting for a grease gun. I imagine they are factory lubed with nothing special, so I wouldn't think there could be any harm in greasing them with a needle.

Leave it.
Trying to get grease into the ball joint will likley leave the boot open somewhere and allow garbage to get into the ball joint and ruin it.

FYI, Napa and Autozone both have nice skinny needles for your grease gun. Non-serviceable components are el-crapola. In the Jeep world, we tend to get rid of that junk for something we know we can keep a live for a bit.

They are lubed with very high quality 'lifetime' grease, but like any other suspension component, sooner or later they wear out. If you could find out exactly what grease is in there, it wouldn't hurt to use a needle to put more in. Otherwise, it is considered bad to mix grease types. Depending on how particular you were, you could clean the insertion area with dry-cleaning solvent after application, then apply a dab of black RTV sealant to keep contamination out.

After 14 years and 200k my "lubed for life" SC joints were still doing their job...
I'd rather have something with a fitting where I could grease it. The VUE could really use this on their sway bar links.

Bobby, I agree wholeheartedly - I was looking at the little nubs they pass off as endlinks and laughed. We're not hearing any noise from them yet, so I think I'll leave them be too.
Thanks for the comments, all
