change 2003 vue 2.2L alternator

My Alternator is dead (I think, because I just installed a new battery 5 days a go and it's now daed, but I can't even boost the vue with other car ) does anyone have any pics of can give my any tips on how to change it? I need to remove the Passenger wheel, then the Plastic wheel well cover, then ?

Did you have a "battery" light lit on the dash?
The car won't even crank with a jump?

In my 2004 Factory Workshop Manual, it makes it out to be VERY easy.


Turn ignition off
Disconnect NEG battery terminal
Remove throttle body air duct
Use special shop tool J44811 Accessory Belt Tensioner Unloader (probably don't need the shop tool) to remove the accessory belt
Disconnect the generator electrical connections
remove generator to block bolt and generator
installation is the opposite of removal
tighten bolt. to 16 ft-lbs


I actually have no idea where the alternator (generator) is on the 2.2L. I suppose to could go out into the garage and look, but nah...
