Now that the playoff are over... who do you want to win Super Bowl XLII? Patriots? Giants? Don't care?

Post your thoughts!

Thanks,
Charlie

Patriots.

The last thing I wanna see is another Manning whoring himself out for TV commercials.

Giant's all the way. They've come a long way and I've had to put up with some poor play this season (as a Giant's fan).

You’ve got to hand it to the Patriots too, they have had to overcome a lot since they were forced to stop cheating by those pesky “officials” and their “rules”.

A toughie to decide: I grew up in NYC but lived in Boston for years...

Gotta go with the underdog this time. :p

GIANTS, I hoped Green Bay went to the SB, I thought they would stand a better chance than NY, but they played a good game last night.

Pats, need to learn to stop videotaping the other defenses, I protest their whole season.:D

I am pulling for the Patriots but I think that the Giants are going to put up a good fight (They put up a fight in week 17).

Now that the Packers are done,is Brett Favre finally going to retire?
I am so sick of hearing after every season if he is going to retire or not especially after the cryfest he did at the end of last season

I'm from South Jersey and the Eagles have always sucked. Have lived in Fort Lauderdale for years and the Dolphins make the Eagles look like a team of all-stars.

On this game, the Patriots by 11. The Giants played good this season but not like the Patriots did.
I've actually watched several games this year and can tell a good team from a bad one even though the lion's share of the athletes are pathetic people off the field.

Go Pats! Brady will get his 4th ring and establish himself as one of the greatest of all time! Pats by 10.

If the Giants play the Patriots like they played them in week 17, the Giants will lose, since a team needs to play a whole game in order to win, not just 3 quarters. But if the Giants play the same solid, error-free ball they've been playing thus far (and make the Pats pay for every mistake they make), the Patriots' streak stops at 18.

Go Giants!

You are right. The Giants are a very dangerous team right now. Would rather play anyone but them. (Remember the 01 pats and rams) Pats were not supposed to have a chance against the "best show on turf"!

Being a Cowboys fan, gotta go with the Giants, being originally from Connecticut(go figure). BUT, the G'Men have to execute in the "red zone", they cannot match field goals with Brady and company's touch downs. Coughlin's a tough a** and will have his team ready. Jeez, it's like the Yankee's vs Red Sox again.:usa:

The Cleveland Browns. But since that can't happen, the Giants, because Plaxico Burress was such a productive Fantasy Football receiver for me this year. And because I have never forgiven Bill Belichick for screwing over Bernie Kosar and Ozzie Newsome.

Good point. San Diego probably would have beaten New England if they scored 3 TDs inside the red zone instead of kicking 3 field goals. That would have changed the complexion of the game and with the Chargers defense playing as well as they did, Brady might have been in trouble if he was forced to pass more.

I really could care less now that the regular season is over:

Tom Brady and the Patriots are cheaters anyway...after Jet-Gate; how can anyone take any of their wins seriously? They cheated this entire season, and it's a shame that Roger Goodell didn't suspend Bellicheat for the entire season after the Patriots/Jets game where it was found that the Patriots had Cameras on the sidelines of the Jets trying to get their plays....

What a bunch of losers! I hope Brady's foot doesn't hold up, so some backup schmuck QB for the Patriots helps them lose.

As for Eli Manning :blockhead and the Giants? Eli Manning is over-rated and shouldn't even be PLAYING in the NFL...what a poor excuse for a QB; and he will always be behind his brother Peyton anyway....The NFL would have been better off if the Manning brothers had never joined the game....Eli especially is over-rated and a horrible QB; that is so green and wet behind the ears that he reminds me of a high school QB that has never played a day of football in his entire life.

Super Bowl 42 is going to be a big YAWN this year....mainly because there are two teams that are highly over-rated; and not worth the 2 hours of a football game to even watch.

A Patriot victory would be anticlimactic. Has the Kraft family ownership plotted out the parade route through Boston yet?

After a Detroit winter, the No Fun League couldn't wait to get back to the warm. Tampa and Arizona, then Georgia and Miami the next two years. Wusses. :arr: :D

I voted 'don't care'. It would be nice if the fifth-seed G-Men pull off an upset like they did in '91 against the favored Bills. I'm not holding my breath. It should be close like last time, but SB 42 is New England's to lose.

Last year they held the Super Bowl at Dolphin Stadium in Miami.

It would be an interesting game if they held a Super Bowl game in a open stadium from either the upper mid-west or northeast:frosty:

As for Eli Manning :blockhead and the Giants? Eli Manning is over-rated and shouldn't even be PLAYING in the NFL...what a poor excuse for a QB;That can't be right! He doesn't play for the Lions. It just sounds like you're describing every Lions QB I've ever seen. :ugh:
