Board Troubles on August 7th

I apolgize for the forum outage earlier today. The message board was down for about 7 hours due to database corruption. Since moving to a dedicated server last month, I'm learning to be more aware of certain server settings (sometimes I learn the hard way...). From what I can gather, something has caused the server's 2.5Gb of space that I had allocated for the site to full up. When the server ran out of disk space, some of the tables in the forum database became corrupted. I had about 2000 email messages in my mailbox alerting me to the problem when I got home from work tonight. I deleted a number of large log files and restored the database shortly after. Everything should be back to normal now. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Great job on getting the site back up. After a few more outages, you may be able to consider yourself a server/database expert! :D

Hey Charlie, you're still doing a great job although you're doing it part time.

I just hope this is not something that might happen to the Saturn cars. Just like you thought you moved to a dedicated server and things will be much better, but not?

Could it be like that for Saturn? Because things were running smoothly before, and now it looks as if GM want Saturn be moved back to their "dedicated server" the GM parts bin.
