2002 VUE AWD, when?

What vin code am I looking for? Is this VUE a full-time AWD on something different? Some says it is a limited AWD and a Satrun mechanic said full time. One thing I noticed is that is really grabbed nicely in snowy weather while maiking a soft right turn, as if I could feel the all wheels grab in.

It has to have slip in the front wheels before the pump in the rear drive module will work to activate the differential. What term you use to describe this (limited, on-demand, part-time...) behavior is subject to understanding what it is you really mean. Though, I think everyone could agree that by no definition is it full-time. It's always available but certainly not always engaged.

its what would be considered auto engaging AWD. Its fwd for 90% of driving, but when it senses the tires slipping in the front the PTU (Power Take-Off Unit) engages and starts transferring power to the rear wheels to move the car.
