I've had a "service engine soon" light coming on. I also notice the RPM increasing at idle to around 1500 and sometimes fluctuating between 1500 & 2000. I have had the Vue to the shop a couple times to check for codes, but all we get is "no error codes found." However, there is an "increase idle" being sent (reads "increase idle = yes"). We know that the the lower intake manifold has a leak because spraying carb cleaner around it causes a fluctuation in the idle.
My question -- should I have a "service engine soon" light if there are not any "error codes" present??? Does "the system" interpret the "increase idle" as an error message?
