On Star Volume 07 Vue

Has anyone out there wanted to increase the volume of your radio, especially when you are using On Star? I usually have the radio close to full volume to be able to use On Star or the Phone. I was thinking of adding an Amp to the output of the stock radio but wanted to check first to see what others have done. I saw on another post someone mentioning that On Star had an amp inline with the radio? I've not heard of that before. Does anyone have any ideas on this, or better yet, has done it succesfully? I'd like to keep the stock radio.

I have a system in my car and this one time I was fighting with my husband on my in car phone, when I got out everyone outside my car knew exactly what was going on. I would say an amp does indeed help, espescially when you are actually moving. But while at a light do you really want the person in the car next to you to be able to hear your phone conversation?
