Ok, so there seems to be two different harnesses for the Vue, I have the 2006 with onstar and XM. There is one that runs anywhere from 5-15 bucks and then there is one that is 120-145 bucks ????
What will I loose by using the cheap one...I dont use onstar and not too worried about XM right now, will I lose any other stuff with the cheap plug, or just the onstar ???
Thanks.

With the cheap harness, you will lose Onstar, and rumor has it you also lose the door chimes and warnings, as those go through the radio also.

As has been stated, you will lose OnStar, and the door/key/airbag/parking brake/headlight chimes. You are much better off spending the extra $$. Autotoys.com has one (GMOS-LAN06) for $109 with free shipping. I installed one a few weeks ago and works like a charm.
