Ok, I can do just about anything for a vw or audi (work for a european tuner) but this GM stuff is new to me. What realay is the DRL relay? I know it is in the engine bay relay/fuse box but what one is it?

Did you check the bottom of the fuse box cover? There should be an index there showing the contents of the fuse box.
