I'm coming up on 50K miles, and figure it's about time to at least check the spark plugs, if not replace them. My dad owns an auto supply store and looked up in the computer what plugs it takes, and he said they listed a double platinum and an iridium plug. I have searched this forum a bit and found that apparently the iridium plug is OEM style. While platinum on your rings is bling, I've heard that platinum on your plugs isn't necessarily all that great, and that copper, due to it's higher conductivity is preferred. I'm sure others here have replaced their plugs, so I'm looking for feedback on what was used, what your impressions were afterwards (any improvement in mileage or power), and just how nasty were your OEM plugs after how many miles.
Thanks gang! :usa:

The Iridium plugs in my SC were great. I'm not sure if they were worth $12 each, but for 100k miles use it's OK.

Or your owners manual. I know for my Protege, it lists acceptable part numbers for replacement spark plugs. The plugs in my ecotec VUE are suppose to 100k mile plugs and I've just cracked 40k miles- so I haven't actually looked in the VUE's manual yet.
