View Full Version : Fuel gauge?? Pump??

We just finished install of new engine in Vue...car will not start. Put $30 gas in it and fuel gauge still reads - NO GAS...and fuel pump will not come on..Any ideas what we need to do?? THANKS

Dumb question, but is the connector hooked up? Fuses / relays good?

Car fixed...one of the wires was not reconnected to the computer after we installed new engine. Vue is running great! Thanks for all the help.

Where'd you get the motor - was it a new or used one? What year VUE? V6 or I4?

Motor from company called LKQ. I think LKQ is in several states, but mine was 1hr from me in Albany, NY. It is a used engine with 28k from a 2005 Chevy Cobalt 2.2 and the cost was $580 plus tax.

What a deal!

Yes....it was a good deal......BUT....now we have black smoke coming out of back...running to rich....Now what???? How do we fix this problem?
