I have a 04 FWD-6 and after starting it up after work it died as I slowed around a parking curb. Just turned off, it was fine after that. Happened twice so far, during startups only.

Anyone know what the "electrical" problem is? battery, alternator or something else. I don't feel it's reliable. :snide: It has 52,500 miles... The battery was changed 2 years ago with Saturn Battery.

Thanks for your replies.

I would start with the basics, battery, cables, corrosion under the cables, loose cable clamps, the other ends of the cables - the starter connection and frame ground. After that either go to an auto store for a free battery/alternator check or check these yourself with a multimeter. The battery should read approximately 12.5v, with the engine idling 13.7v, and above idle 14.5v (give or take a few tenths of a volt for each measurement. Be sure the serpentine belt is taut and not squealing at all at anytime otherwise any squealing indicates belt slippage and can affect the alternator output as well as loss of power steering (unless yours is electric assisted p/s).

Start he vue, go the pcm, located along passenger wheel well, near strut tower. Grab the pcm connectors, and see if anything happens. I have seen this once, maybe twice, and the culprit was loose connections in the pcm connector.

I think I figured out the problem. Ran the radio for about 2 hours at the Drive-In Movie. The battery was low I guess. It seem fine today. Thanks for those who replied!
