I am having trouble installing the front right drive shaft on my 2002 Vue (4 cylinder standard). I can't get it pushed back into the intermedial shaft. I got it out by tapping the cvjoint with a hammer and a block of wood, but now I can't get it back together. Is there some kind of special tool? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Push REALLY hard! It's the spring clip on the end of the shaft that is giving you problems- I'm guessing (haven't had to do this kind of work on THIS vehicle yet). Also make sure you have the splines lined up and the keyway (if it has one) is lined up. If you can get your block on wood back in there, try tapping it in from the other side of what you used to to tap on to get it out of there. It'll go when the planets align and everything is perfect in the universe!

I am assuming you have the ball joint undone since the axle cam out, so use teh strut as leverage and pound it on there, as long as you are sure that the splines are lined up. Use the strut/brake combo like a pendulum. Swing it in there.....They will go in. I wouldnt recommend using a wood block due to the fair possibility of tearing the boot......
