What engine? 2.2L or 3.5L?
When is it high? At idle? All the time?
Spec is
(2.2L)
-50-80 psi
(3.5L)
-10 psi minimum at idle
-71 psi at 3000 rpm
Causes for high oil pressure
-Worn or sticking oil pump pressure relief valve
-Plugged oil filter
-Improper viscosity oil

-Improper viscosity oilThat's probably your culprit if you have a 3.5L. It should be 5W20. Check your oil cap (it's listed there) and make sure the right weight.

There is nothing wrong with using 5w 30 in your 3.5. There is alot over the internet, it works fine in the Honda Engine.
Bob the oil guy had a good write up about it.

There's also write ups how 5w-20 is prematurely destroying your engine just to get 1 more mpg... I've followed Saturn's recommendations and always used 5w-20. It is hard to find locally in synthetic blends.

Even though 5w-20 is proven to show no dangerous increase in wear (IF at ALL) over 5w-30's in our engines, He can use whatever viscosity he wants and the oil pressure will still be legit.

To a point. Drop some 75W-90 in there and I'm sure you'll peg the relief valve pressure. :D
