If the 2.2L saturn vue uses a honda engine what transmission did honda put behind this engine? Any tech help would be appreciated love the car hate the transmission

the 2.2 is not a honda in your vue, there have been people looking to replace the vti with a trans that will mate, I havn't heard of anyone who actually pulled it off.

Its posible but very expensive.

This VTI transmission is the only bad drivetrain that saturn made for the Vue.

If you cant get your dealer to replace the entire transmission under warranty, I would recommend you sell the Vue or trade it in while its still running.

The 4 cyl and V6 drivetrains offered from 2004 to current are rock solid.

The Honda engine is the 3.5L V-6 with a Honda automatic transmission. The 2.2 is the same engine GM uses all over its car lines. That being the case, it would seem possible to mate up a GM automatic to it, but who knows what would have to be done to get the computer to go along with it? There was a recent post of a member who likes his VTI. Others have gone through more than one transmission swap out and still have problems.:ugh:
