I am curious to find out if anyone else has the same experience. Up to 65mph the Vue feels good on the highway but at higher speeds the stability does not feel like other suvs and sedans I have driven. It just doesn't feel secure at higher speeds. My Vue has the original 17" tires inflated pressure is ok, with 22,000 miles. I know if I go back to my selling dealer they will tell me they have found no problem. This is their usual answer unless the problem is extreme and very noticable.

Feel is so subjective and some people are more sensitive to handling issues that it's not one of those easy things to pin down. My '03 is very stable at speed, but buffeting knocks it around it bit. If your tire pressures are up to snuff, then about the only thing that would affect stability is the alignment. You can have that question answered for around $60. The dealer probably won't do anything since it may feel fine to them. Stability is most influenced by toe and caster.

I would definately say if it does not feel stable to have the alignment checked. I drive 25 miles a day one way to work on the highway, and I am usually doing about 80-85, my VUE feels rock solid. Your alignment and tire pressure are the two main contributers to how your vehicle will feel at speed. Remember, alignments are recommended every six months, and can be easily knocked out of whack by potholes and road hazards. No harm in getting it checked!
