Description: Good running Saturn S-series SOHC engine. Was removed from a '97 SW1 with 175,000 miles that had a bad automatic transmission. This engine can be used in any SOHC S-series, SW1 wagon, SL1 sedan, or SC1 coupe with either manual or automatic transmission. If you get a manual-transmission engine computer, it could also be used to replace the DOHC engine in a manual SW2, SL2, or SC2. It can not be used with an automatic transmission designed for a DOHC engine, as the gear ratios would be wrong and the computer would be unhappy. This engine ran fine when it was in the car. It burned some oil, as is common with these, but it doesn't stop them from running to 500,000 as long as you keep the oil topped up.
