First and foremost, I'm going to be as completely forthcoming and honest about this car as I can because I've been burned from buying a car online before and it's not fun.
I'm selling my Blue 1991 Saturn SC Coupe Automatic. It has 108,xxx miles on it. It runs and drives great! The body is in AWESOME shape. No dents or dings or scratches! There is one small rust spot on the roof as you can see in the picture.
The interior is in perfect shape! No tears or rips. I don't smoke so there's no burns anywhere. I have my CD/MP3 player in there. It works but it's picky on the cds it likes to read. I do have the original radio to put it though. This car runs and drives just awesomely. THe car has manual windows and locks. The AC blew cold when I used it in the summer.
I have replaced within the last 6 months the valve cover gasket, new plugs and plug wires, new ECTS from the dealer, the CPS and a new catalytic converter and muffler.
I've raved about the good things but of course with any used car there are some not so good things.
I was having a problems with it stalling/not starting as usual with this car. I replaced the CPS I bought from AUtozone from suggestions on this forum. It worked for a couple weeks when it stalled out on me again and gve me a code 16. I got it started again and drove it back to my apartment. I was then afraid to drive it cuz I didn't want it to leave me stranded somewhere. So it sat here for a couple weeks and I just bummed rides from my g/f and used her car.
I then had it dollied to my parents house cuz it was getting to be a pain moving it from one side of the street to the other every night to avoid getting a parking ticket. It sat for two weeks there when I visited them this past weekend, dug it out from the snow and it fired up on the first key turn. EVEN AFTER SITTING THAT LONG! I thoguht it was pretty cool.
I drove it around a while (about 50 miles) to see how it was because I felt more comfortable driving it around my hometown and where I know the roads and there's no traffic because if it stalled out again, atleast I could get back home with no problem. It did not stall on me once so maybe it was jsut a onetime thing. Since then though I went out and bought a CPS from Advance Auto Parts thinking maybe it was just a bad one from Autozone. I haven't put it in yet though but you can have it just in case.
When you get on the gas there is a slight burning smell that might be the oil. There is a little bit of gas in the oil right now that I can tell. which I'm guessing is from the stalling becasue I know that the gas has a tendency to drain into the crankcase. So an oil change might just be all it needs.
One other thing. It does shift a little bit hard when it's cold. Once it warms up it shifts smoothly. It might just need a filter change or something.
All in all this is a great little car in great shape. It runs and drives just fine but I just don't know if the CPS would cause it to stall again. I've driven about 50 miles since the last stall and it's been fine. But I do have a new one you can put in. So take that for what it's worth.
Two more things, the cruise used to work but hasn't for a while. I just never use it really so it hasn't bothered me. Probaby a fuse or something.
Also the automatic seatbelts don't retract. Again, they used to work and I'm 99% sure it just that sensor below the "cupholder" next to the E-Brake blowing the fuse. Because it stopped working once and I changed the fuse and it worked for a bit again. Then I'm pretty sure it blew the fuse again cuz they stopped working once more. So that's most likely definitely a fuse.
AS you can see from the length of the Ad i've done the best I can to explain the car. As with any used car it will be sold as is, of course. But liek I said, I've told you everythign that I know.
If you have any questions shoot me a PM or email me at blinkbears(at)hotmail.com my phone number is 608-780-1812
The car is not with me right now as I'm in La Crosse Wi. it is still at my parents house an hour and a half away in Westfield, Wi but I put their zip code in so your distance estimate will be correct. I had my parents take the pictures and send to me today.
The car BLue Books at $1,835. I'm asking $1,300 OBO.
Thanks for looking.

The SOHC engine was not available for the S-Series coupes until the 1993 model year. For the 1991 and 1992 model years we only had the SC and all had the DOHC engine. Starting with the 1993 model year the SC name was dropped; the SC1 was introduced with the SOHC engine and the SC2 continued with the DOHC engine. So this car here has the DOHC engine.
