I am selling my first car, a 1998 Saturn SL1 5 Speed. This has been a great and reliable car for the time I've had it and it gets great gas mileage (about 40mpg highway) I have never had any problems with it. It has been driven to Minneapolis, MN from Milwaukee, WI many times with ease. It currently has 94343 miles on it, a lot of which are highway miles.
Here are some details---
The Good:
Pioneer CD/MP3 player with iPod connector routed to the glove box
Rear Sony Xplod Speakers
SPS Performance Muffler
"Home made" Short Ram Intake
New Battery
Recently had coolant flushed and filled
Upper Radiator hose recently replaced
Oil changed by myself every 3,000 miles or fewer
Can include Nokya high and low beam headlights (i believe they are Arctic White?)
The Bad:
As common in most Saturns, it does burn oil. I would approximate it to be around 1/2 to 3/4 a quart a month which is not too bad. More or less depending on how aggressive or easily you are driving. Every oil change I use 10w30 which helps it to not burn as much oil as quickly because of the higher viscosity.
