For sale here is my beloved 1997 SC2. I'm moving on, hopefully, to a bigger and better car.
Here are the facts:
-5 Speed Manual
-Air conditioning
-Cruise Control
-Power Windows
-Power Locks with Remote Keyless Entry
-155,600 miles as of this week.
-Run on Mobil 1 5W-30 for the 2 years I've owned it.
-Oil consumption is in the quart per 2000 miles neighborhood.
-As a Saturn Technician, I can honestly say it's one of the better running LL0's I've been around with this many miles.
The bad:
If you look in my gallery, you can gather that it's been wrecked twice, to my knowledge. I bought it wrecked the first time, at which point I had to pull the frame in the front, and replace the entire front subframe. Cosmetically all that had to be replaced was the RF fender.
This past January, I was rear ended by a drunk driver at approximately 40 MPH, while I was sitting at a red light. Fortunately he was driving another 1997 Saturn, so they were somewhat designed to hit one another. At any rate, another trip to the frame rack, this time to pull the rear out, which went excellent. Also replaced the crash absorber and rear fascia. And since I had to have the fascia painted, I had the spoiler painted (to remove the cancer, aka oxidation), and the quarters (the left side had a hole in it, and the right side had scrapes from the accident that lead me to purchase it.)
As pictured above, the left quarter has a crack in the door jamb from where it was fiberglassed. When I was putting it back on, it twisted in an unfortunate manner that caused it to crack. It hasn't gotten any larger in the 10 months that it's been repaired and installed.
The other cosmetic flaw is the front fascia, which has a gash of sorts on the left side. I purchased it like this, and never got around to getting it repaired. It is pictured above.
As is to be expected with a car with 155,000 miles, it has a few rock chips in the hood.
I have posted no interior shots, but I have a few, and I'm willing to take a few more.
The car is riding on Sprint 2" lowering springs. They came with the car, and I have no idea how many miles they have on them. In August of 2004, I replaced all 4 struts with KYB-GR2's. I'm not sure of mileage, but I'd put it in the 15k range.
If you look in my gallery, the car is on ION 3 rims. They don't come with the car. If the price is right, I'll sell them with the car.
As is mentioned in my signature on the boards, it has a (loud) exhaust. 2.5" piping, no resonator, and a flowmaster 40 series muffler. I can get rid of this if you'd like, for a factory exhaust.
I seem to have posted only the negative, but that seems to be all that anyone likes to hear.
As the title says, I'm asking 2500. I'll add an OBO, but no lowballing.

Would you be willing to allow an in-person inspection and (preferably) test drive of the vehicle? Considering the two wrecks in it's history, I don't think that is entirely unreasonable to ask.
As it stands right now, I'd offer 2,000$ if it were mine alone to offer. My wife may have other plans and considerations, but I know that would be the upper limit.
Off Topic (sorta): I chuckled when I put in my zip code and saw that you're only about a mile away from us -- would be nice if we could not only pick up another car but not have to go for miles and miles to get it home.
