I have a 1993 SW1. Six months ago I replaced the engine with a 2002 SOHC with only 23,000 miles, I also replaced the transmission two weeks ago with a transmission from a 2000 SL1. I had to get a smog check last month and the car passed with no problem.
I purchased the car as a project car, I did not abuse the car I fixed it. It runs great I average 35-37 mpg.
It is a stick.
I just put on a set of 15" stock alloys with a set of Kumho tires. These rims came off a 1995 SL2.
The windshield is brand new.
All in all the car has about 145,000 miles so it is not a brand new car but it is a great car.
I know when someone says they did this much work to a car it sounds like a real problem.
Problem is I am in So. Calif. Probably too far.
Let me know.
I do have some money put into the car. So I can't just give it away.
