Description: 2001 Saturn SC2 3 Door coupe, high compression engine running the stock auto/PCM. 58,812 original miles on the car, aprox 5,500 miles on the built engine. Body overall good shape, chipped paint on front bumper and a couple scratches here and there but no major issues. No structural damage, rust, etc. Interior is clean and looks stock. PCM is code free, will throw a P0300 random misfire sometimes when cold but clears itself (or I'll clear it with scan tool). Pass Ohio E-Check with a "Fast Pass" last year and I'm sure this engine burns cleaner then 99% of the cars out there. Following pictures were taken today:

Engine: 12:1 built motor, Crower rods, custom order CP pistons (11.3:1), 01 head, 02 block, 96 crank. Block was overboard 40, crank polished, rotating assembly balanced by Hutter Performance of Chardon, OH. Head was ported and polished by me then sent to Tom of B&G auto in NY (TSN guys will know him...). He milled it 035, gave the valve seats a 3 angle valve job, and assembled everything (including reconditioned lifters by Mizpah Precision). Total compression for the 40 over milling 11.3:1 pistons = 12.0 and change. Mid Penn Motorsports race cams. Timing chain, oil pump, etc etc all new. NEEDS 96 octane gas because of the compression, currently running 100 octane from a pump along with NKG Iridium plugs two steps colder then stock. New engine was properly broken in with 10w30 dino oil for first 500 miles then has been on 5w30 synthetic ever since. Leaks nothing, runs rich and loopy, ran a 15.5 on stock PCM tuning with the stock automatic tranny. Easily a 14 second car with a manual swap and I dare to say high 13's with weight reduction and good tuning:

Intake: Ported 99 intake to match the head and TB. TB ported and tapered also. XRC Hood Scoop with K&N filter customized for a 3rd gen and painted to match the car:

Exhaust / Emissions: OBX header to custom 2.25" mandrel bent exhaust, Thrush glasspack resonator and turbo muffler. Had Hutter Performance add in bungs for a EGT on 4th runner of header and for a wide band after the flex (they do awesome stainless welding work if you need some done). AIR system has been removed completely, port on header capped. No codes are thrown (see electronics section about PCM flash). CatCO hi flow cat and thrush were painted with exhaust paint also:

Electronics: MegaSquirt is mounted above the driver side kick panel but not in control of anything (capable but not wired). There is a MSD tach driver giving it a good signal from the ignition module and also the EGT bung in the 4th runner has a EGT probe hooked to it and the MS board has the EGT mod done on it to read EGT. A ECTS was tapped into the head right next to the existing sensor Its ready to go for fuel control, mounted up under the dash with the serial cable in the space under the radio (with 4' of lead to pull out and hook to a laptop without having to dig). MS was assembled by me and tested with a sim board (which will also be included). PLX Wideband is also installed and the readout is in the pocket under the radio. PCM was flashed as a 2000 federal emissions (which did not require the AIR system):

Radio: 9 speaker system (technically 17...). Includes a pair of 6 1/2" 3 ways in front doors with a extra pair of external tweeters mounted flush above the 6 1/2"s. Rear has 6 1/2" 3 way mounted in rear deck with a extra pair of external tweeters mounted next to them and a 8" SUB in the center. All tweeters have in line crossovers and a additional crossover is mounted under the rear deck to keep the rear 6 1/2" from getting bass. The sub is currently not hooked up, it really needs a amp to perform so I just left it unplugged. Radio has both sub output and RCA input (can plug in a iPod/MP3 player with a 1/8" stereo to RCA adapter) and plays MP3/WMA/CD-R/etc etc:

Exterior / Interior / Body: Lots of customizations including a painted rear reflector (with keyhole shaved), custom center caps on the wheels, painted interior trim (tasteful not gaudy), and lightly tinted rear lights and corner/turn signals. White indigo gauge faces, Saturn logo pedals, Black Saturn emblems, and other little touches:

Misc: 16" Motegi MR-7's in silver wrapped with Toyo Proxes FZ-4 performance tires, tuner lugs with key, majority of interior (doors, floor, rear deck) was soundproofed with B-Quiet Extreme sound deadening material, JL Audio battery terminals, Xenon bulbs in both low, hi, and fog lights, Odyssey race battery, KYB GR-2 struts, H&R lowering spring (1.2/1.3), Arospeed strut tower bar, and SPS 8mm wires. Power windows, lock, keyless entry (with 2 remotes). AC has been removed. Only real issues the car has is the front breaks will need to be done soon (right driver side squeaks when it gets hot), the fog light switch will flicker on and off randomly sometimes when the lights are on (which can be unplugged until the switch is replaced), and the race battery was damaged by my stupidity (recharging it too fast) so it only goes a week or two between needing a recharge as opposed to a month (it still holds a charge and if you drive it a couple times a week its fine). Overall it really is a great reliable car. It ALWAYS starts, it doesn't leak anything, and it looks pretty good.

Car has a clean title, original owners manual, and I was the only owner...bought it new off the lot 8 years ago. I have 95% of the receipts for all the parts and work done if needed and about 1500 images of everything from when the car was purchased until today. You can see all the information on the engine rebuild here.

Asking $7000. Kelly blue book private party value for a stock 2001 SC2 with 58k miles is $5700 and I have a additional $8500 in this not including my own time so I think I'm being reasonable on my asking price, which is negotiable. Would consider partial trades of cash a reliable SL for my car. Buyer will receive car, MS sim board, and a box of all my Saturn parts (extra bolts, pulleys, wires, harnesses, etc, etc).
