Up for sale, or trade is a pair of 1992 Saturn SL series cars.
The first is a 1992 SL1, Red with Tan interior. it has 181,400 miles on it, it has 2 brand new tires, all new brakes, new plugs, new wires, fresh transmission flush, oil changed every 3000 miles. I drive it every day still, I'm going to be installing a new Radiator in it this weekend, and sometime next week going to replace the tie rods, and have a front end alingment done on it. It has a new muffler, and new Flex Pipe.
The interior is tan in color and is very well kept, I'm not a smoker, but the previous owner was, and they had the car since it was new in 1992, but I've done tons and tons of cleaning, so it doesn't smell like smoke at all. The drivers seat has a small tare in the back of it, and he passanger seat has a small burn hole on it. it has the stock cassette player with stock speakers. I installed a 6 CD changer in the trunk. The A/C still blows ice cold and was retrofitted to R134a.
As stated above, I drive the car every day and it is extreamly reliable. It is a typical 17 year old Saturn, it burns one quart of oil ever 1400 miles. So one quart between changes.
The second car is a White, 1992 SL2, I found out this car was a police seizure, the previous owner was arrested and placed in jail on a few warrents. The car was awarded to the police department, then it was sold at auction by the person I got it from, they used it for awhile, then traded it in on a newer car, and this one sat behind the leasing agency for 2 years.
It has 142,000 miles.
The guy was going to sell it for scrap, so I made an offer and he took it. I've had it for awhile now, I've replaced the plugs, plug wires, motor mounts, flushed the transmission for good measure, rotated the tires, changed the oil 3 times, all under 1000 miles to help clean the inside of the engine up. Everything els on the car is in good shape and still works perfectly, it starts right up every time, runs nice and smooth, goes down the road nice, has a lot of power, and from what I can tell, isn't using any oil. It makes no smoke, what so ever. As far as I can tell the engine is still rock solid. Looking in deeper, I belive it has a replaced alternator, replaced fuel pump, new brake roaters, and a new CV joint. The automatic transmission works perfectly, no thumps or thuds, it shifts though all of it's gears smooth as silk.
The interior on the car is still in decent shape, theres no rips or tares in the seats, the auto seat belts don't work anymore. The cassette radio still works, but the front speakers don't sound the greatest. The car is still very sound, and I am still fixing it up dispite listing it or sale here.
I'm looking to get $2000 for both of them, $1100 for the SL1 and $900 for the SL2.
Or I'm willing to give them both up for a nice '95 or newer SL1, or SW.
