Nothing wrong with the seat, I found one in better condition at the salvage yard. This seat has two tears in the driver's bolster that have been sewn (albeit poorly), but the seatback is in fine working condition. I never had any trouble with it, just found one that was cosmetically better.
It's black cloth with the blue/red inlay from the 93-94 SC2.
