Bought it off another Saturn tuner who got out of Saturns, was told it was rebuilt with OEM parts 20k miles ago. I checked it out, and from what I can tell - this is true. Engine is extremely clean inside - motor turns over easily, etc. Was told it had a compression of 210 across the board. Head looks to be a 1994.. (2 coolant holes, vacuum EGR).
"The bad" - 1 exhaust stud is broke off (see pic), was told it does not leak. I'm sure its fixable - but i'm sure it will be a pain in the ass to fix it., valve cover is not the original one, so the valve cover has one less bolt hole (see pic) but doesn't leak when done right. Oil pan has a small dent, but doesn't affect anything. Needs new valve cover gasket ( had rtv on it).
I just drained the oil the it was light to medium dark and looked good. I even threw in new spark plugs(NGK V Powers) and filled it up with Mobil oil.
Because of these "bad" things, I have lowered the price considerably - $280 picked up (firm - this is less than what I paid)
