Hello,I have a professional automotive diagnostic scan tool that comes in a hard black plastic case,including a complete set of cables,a logic interface module,power adapter,a serial to usb interface unit with blue light power indicator and asociated cable and a software installation disc.This system is computer based,meaning that you would load the software install disc in your computer and run the computer to do diagnostics on a vehicle using the supplied interface module and its asociated cables.It supports the CAN protocol.A computer based system is better than other units because this system is for all vehicles,foreign and domestic.On the generic side where the light(MIL) is the key all vehicles can be diagnosed and on the enhanced manufacturer side there are some limitations but barriers are being broken as EASE software is improving.The system is manufactured by EASE DIAGNOSTICS ,with which are the pioneers and the leader in computer based systems.Ease Diagnostics works very hard to aquire all the neccesary data from the manufacturers and are adding more capability all the time.This kit has some limitations,for concerns,E-MAIL me or call EASE Diagnostics.One of the attractions for me in buying this system is BI-DIRECTIONAL CONTROLS.This is the capability to communicate with the vehicle's computer (PCM) to turn on relays,solenoids and other hardware to assist in diagnosing the problem.Because your computer has a hard drive,you can store large amounts of data like real time operations of electronic components,temperatures,pressures,timings,voltages and amperages.EASE provides free updates,software to add more features,capability and firmware for the interface module.If they see a need to make a major improvement in the system,they sell an upgrade to a higher version of software.Please feel free to visit thier website at obd2.com if you still have questions,you can send me an e-mail and I'll get your question answered.I paid 1,700.00 for this system .The nice thing about this system,is that you also can upgrade the provided ver.4.1 to the 6.1 at a fair price.If you research scan tools,most are high in cost and are limited to certain vehicles and are expanded with more hardware where as EASE is pure software.Ease provides a excellent value at competitive price.Most problems can be solved with this tool because EPA is concerned with the light(MIL) and this is the generic side.The tool does all on the generic side.Thanks for your time reviewing my diagnostic kit.If you purchase this kit I would be more than happy to help you with an occasional question on troubleshooting your vehicles to the best of my ability.Thanks so much.Check out the picture showing whats included and whats not shown,I added more to the kit.See the parts list below.The kit shown has direct USB interface, my kit has interface unit to convert serial to USB.Below is kit description.Thanks again.
