Description: Old post got purged so I'll repost in case anyone is interested.

For Sale - Custom wrinkle coated composite valve covers. Made on request - only composite covers. For metal covers contact the guys in FL (Jay / Sam / etc). Valve cover will be disassembled, fully cleaned, wrinkle coated, reassembled, and shipped back to you. If wanted the emblem can also be stripped and repainted to match your car.

Prices:
Valve cover disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly: $30
Valve cover wrinkle coating (3 coats - black wrinkle): $30
Valve cover clear coating (3 coats - in addition to wrinkle above): $20
Custom emblem painting (3 coats color, 3 coats clear): $20

You pay shipping both ways and provide a core valve cover in good shape. Any cracks or dents can be repaired for a additional cost. I will get you a core for a additional cost if you do not have one but it will probably be cheaper for you to send me one. Emblem painting includes standard DupliColor colors available at any AutoZone / Advanced. If you want a custom paint that is a factory match you will need to provide it or I will purchase it from www.paintscratch.com and charge you the extra costs. I'm almost always open to bartering so if I need something I'm usually willing to trade for this work.

The process - A example of the last valve cover I did for someone.

How it was recieved - Horribly dirty (pretty normal) and with a crack on the top of the cover. Crack just barely went through but was fixable:

Everything is torn apart and fully cleaned:

I fixed the crack with some body filler and sanding:

After its all cleaned up its wrinkle coated. Here it is just finished with the tape still covering the holes:

And a closeup of where the crack used to be:

And a closeup of the wrinkle coating itself:

Then the underside was reassembled:

The emblem was redone to match the car and look a little different then normal and heres the final product:

This is the valve cover currently on my car. It was not clear coated:

Another I did that was clear coated. Clear coating the wrinkle makes it VERY shiny because of all the angles on the wrinkle. Keep this in mind if you want it clear coated:

Turn around from me recieving to me shipping back out is about 3 weeks. Please keep this in mind if your going to send me the one off your car. If you need it faster since your paying shipping you can overnight it both ways but still the bare minimum for a full cleaning and painting (wrinke and emblem) is about 9 days to include for full cure of the paint and epoxy. I will not ship out something that hasn't cured as the chance of it getting messed up in shipping is too great.

If anyone has any questions please PM me or post. Thanks!
