well, new projects are on the horizon, and driveway space is at a premium, so regretably, i gotta let the satty find a new home. i wouldn't hesitate to send this car on a long trip (it's gone 700 miles in one day no worries). it's a great commuter, averaging between 29-34mpg in mixed driving. insurance costs are low, making it a perfect second car or first car for your teenager. i've done a lot of work to it, including the following:
--new upper radiator hose
--new water pump
--new plugs
the car has 140,000 miles on it, and features all power options and an automatic transmission. it shifts/runs smoothly, and has never given me a fit.
i'm asking $1600 for it, and that price includes 4 newer tires (i can't say what brand, whatever my buddy gets for me from vw off a cpo car), two latch plates for the seatbelts so they're fully operative, a new coolant temp sensor, and new filters. i may even do a transmission service.
the good:
--many new parts
--30 mpg
--low running costs ($9 oil changes if you diy)
--plastic (nothing to rust except the hood/roof/trunk)
the bad:
--the left headlight bucket has some rust bubbles on it
--the car was tapped in the left rear, the 1/4 is cracked under the taillight, but not severe
--missing left rear seatbelt, i can get one from the junkyard if it's an issue for you...no charge
the ugly:
--tan interior (it's a bit dirty, but i should be able to get it clean)
