Saturn Vue Green Line Hybrid to Debut at NAIAS

MPH magazine's online web site reports that General Motors plans to unveil six new models, including two new concepts, at this year's North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Among them will be a pre-production version of the 2007 Saturn Vue Green Line hybrid, "one early example of Saturn's product revitalization," according to the magazine. "We understand that GM's success in North America depends, more than anything else, on building great cars and trucks," said Mark LaNeve, GM vice president, Vehicle Sales, Service and Marketing said in the article. "The world's media will see us demonstrate the intensity of our commitment to build vehicles that delight our customers."

GM's production vehicle unveilings at the 2006 NAIAS will include:

  • 2007 Saturn Vue Green Line Hybrid
  • 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe Two-mode Hybrid
  • 2007 Cadillac Escalade EXT
  • 2007 Cadillac Escalade ESV

The two new concept vehicles have not officially been announced, but sources tell SaturnFans.com that GM will use the NAIAS to debut an all-new Chevrolet Camaro sports car and the Buick Enclave crossover sport-utility. The Enclave, based on GM's Lambda architecture, will provide a good indication as to what we can expect from the upcoming Saturn Outlook.
