Saturn "Rethink MPG" Ad Airs During the Olympics

General Motors has been a big sponsor of the 2008 Summer Olympic Games on NBC. There have been number of different GM ads being shown every night, including the critically-acclaimed 'Beautiful Blue' television spot, but tonight the company aired the 2009 version of Saturn's 'Rethink MPG' commercial just after the Men's 100m dash final. I had seen this commercial before during an episode of Project Runway, but this is the first time I can recall seeing a Saturn ad during the Olympics in primetime. This is the kind of ad Saturn needs to be airing in overdrive right now, not only to help build awareness of its fresh lineup, but to also tout its models' fuel efficiency. Watch the 2008 version of the commercial and read the 2009's voiceover text below.

The Saturn Outlook with an EPA estimated 24 mpg highway. The Saturn Astra with 32 mpg highway. The Saturn Aura with 33 mpg highway. And the Saturn Vue available in hybrid. Just some of the remarkable fuel efficient vehicles from the company that's rethinking everything.
