Green Line Vue Has European Flair and Good Mileage

The Oregonian's Tom Kehoe takes a look at the hybrid Saturn Vue in his "Drive Time" column in the paper today.

During the test week, the Vue's design received favorable comments. An aggressive front fascia, accentuated fender flares and simulated air vents on the front fenders provide a muscular appearance. The Green Line is differentiated from its siblings by a slightly lower stance and hybrid badging. The hybrid system combines an electric motor/generator with the gas engine, and power goes to the front wheels through a 4-speed automatic transmission with a manual shift mode. Saturn engineers have minimized the Green Line's fuel usage in four ways: shutting off the engine at idle; providing an electric power assist during acceleration; early fuel cut-off during deceleration; and capturing energy through regenerative braking.

Ask Jill Graphic

Saturn recently added a new feature to its website that allows visitors to pose questions directly to General Manager Jill Ladjziak. Some folks have already taken advantage of the opportunity. Keeping in close contact with customers is something Jill has always felt strongly about and excelled at doing. This new tool gives Jill and her team a way to communicate on a personalized level with owners and enthusiasts.
